Check the Status of an Application on OneAlabama

When you submit an application, document, or change report, you will see a record of this on
your OneAlabamadashboard.

Immediately upon submitting, you will see a blue box that indicates the submission type, the date submitted (this will be the next business day, if submitted on a
weekend or after-hours) and the status of the submission.

Status

Pending: the submission has been queued and sent to the Alabama Department of Human Resources but has not been picked up by a worker yet.

Received: the submission has been received by a worker and is being
reviewed.

  • If your application, change or document requires further communication, a
case worker will reach out via the contact information you provided.

  • Applications will move to "Received" within about 5 business days.

  • Documents or Change Reports will be "Received" within about 2 business days, but
this could vary. If your demographic information provided does not match an
active case, your submission will not be considered valid and you will receive a
notification indicating that you can contact a worker if you questions.

Purged: after being received, a submission will eventually be purged, meaning that it is no longer stored electronically, for your privacy. Your case will have the necessary
information on file if you have an active case.

Will I know if my application is accepted on the app?
After you submit the initial documentation, a case worker will contact you with next steps on your application process.
Acceptance is not recorded in the OneAlabama app.
